Default Where can Members locate your NAR/RETS Marketing & Educational Outreach Materials?

Hi Kristen,

Where can the RETS Membership locate the RETS Marketing & Educational Outreach Materials you have created on behalf of the RETS Developer community between 2007-2009? Is it archived on <<rets.org>> where it should be?

And since you are also "personally" on the cutting edge of RETS and Web 2.0 technologies, you must have lots of RETS News Releases, RETS PowerPoint Presentations, PDF's, etc... that you have prepared & given to the NAR and RETS Membership over the past 3 years at conferences and trade shows on our behalf.

We are looking forward to reviewing ALL of your wonderful RETS presentations as well as commend you for the hard work and dedication that you have been doing on behalf of the entire RETS Developer community since your RESO BOD election in 2007.

Keep up the great work!!!

Happy holidays,

We have several hundred docs in our Group, most of which are in the process of being ported over to the new RETS.org site. If you would like to offer to help our small group of volunteer achieve such a large undertaking you can email me your real name and we'd be very thankful for any additional man-power.

Smile RETS Online Digital Archive : Marketing & Educational Outreach Materials

Hi Kristen,

My apologies if you do not remember me, but we met in passing at the December 2007 meeting in Miami. I was a technical advisor to one of the visiting participants. This is when our RETS Group was on fire and the talk of the town.

My name is Thomas Sawyer (no relations) and am a Lead Software Engineer with a primary focus in (LAMP-XML-JAVA-RETS-RSS-SSL). I have been engineering, programming and developing software for the real estate and defense industries since 1987 and have spent the majority of my time <<under the hood>> making sure that software and data works the way it should for a variety of clients throughout the US.

I am also highly trained and very skilled in many technologies & languages and have a personal passion for complex digital puzzles, networks and war game strategies. I am a historian & archivist for the Sons of Confederate Veterans as well as Daughters of the American Revolution (odd combination, huh )

Recently I have been tasked as a Researcher/Archivist for the <<NAR Digital History Project>> to fill in the blanks in the official record. The history project/website is scheduled to be released online in 2010 in concert with the new RPR Realtor's Property Resource announcement, and our body of work dates back the entire <<102 Years>> of NAR, not just current events.

So it is my task as a researcher to make sure that the complete NAR digital record is up to date & preserved for all NAR Sponsored Programs dating back to 1907, no matter what types of programs they are or who the person was in charge of those programs.

This includes any print collateral or digital materials created on NAR's behalf as this information is required to be archived and made public to the NAR Membership by law as well as the NAR "Code of Ethics". And I am charged to review the historical timeline & detect any error in the official record.

That being said, a big THANK YOU!!! Kristen for you and your team's hard work and dedication to the RETS Group over the past few years, and we look forward to reviewing the many works that you are currently porting over to <<rets.org>> as we speak.

Also, if you would be so kind as to letting us know the exact RETS URL that you are "currently porting" your documents over to so that we can begin reviewing the works, that would be awesome.

Happy Holidays to you Kristen and your team and all the best to you and yours in the New Year!

Default RE: Missing RETS Marketing & Educational Outreach Materials

Steve--

Please forgive me for asking, but I am not aware of you nor your role in the RESO Marketing & Outreach Group, which is the <<RETS Forum Thread>> you are replying to.

Are you the person in charge of posting each of the missing RESO-RETS marketing, trade show & outreach presentations to the <<rets.org>> calendar/ timeline?

As once I am better informed of who I am communicating with, then I should be able provide you with additional information regarding your queries.

Cheers!

Forgive me for asking, but on behalf of curious members of this workgroup,
who at NAR has chartered the project you mentioned?

Moreover, we are interested to know more about you. In your capacity, "Lead

Association, MLS, or real estate technology vendor? Where are you located?
What is your telephone number?

Thanks. We all look forward to filling in the blanks.

Default RE: Mark Lesswing | NAR Digital History Project, 2010

Mark--

A big THANK YOU! for your interest in assisting with the <<NAR Digital History Project>> and my apology for not replying sooner. I am on holiday break through next Wednesday, and will followup with you after then to review.

Looking forward to it because as of this date, the entire RETS/RESO membership via the RETS Forum has been non-responsive to posting any RETS/RESO membership documents in their possesion to the <<rets.org>> website where these documents belong, completing the RETS/RESO meeting/conference timeline and historical record.

FYI-- And from Kristin Carr's comment above, it appears that she is having trouble getting herself and her Marketing & Outreach group to assist in posting their group meeting minutes, documents & presentations to <<rets.org>> for the RETS Membership to review, so your office may need to assist them as well.

I will followup with you next week.

Cheers!

Hi "Thomas" --

Following on the heels of Steve and the rest of the merry men, we'd all appreciate your disclosure of who you work for and who (at NAR) commissioned this "NAR Digital History Project"... since even Mr. Lesswing hasn't heard about it and doesn't seem aware of this "review" meeting with you next week.

There's no record of a Thomas (or Tom) Sawyer on the Miami RSVP list and I'm pretty damn certain I'd remember having met "Tom Sawyer".

RETS Developer since 2002? Who did you work for? Did you ever come to any meetings?

So far we have a person with a gmail account asking for information.
